Cultivating a Sustainable Tomorrow on World Soil Day

World Soil Day (WSD) is a United Nations initiative, held annually on 5 December to focus on the importance of healthy soil and advocating for the sustainable management of soil resources.

On World Soil Day, Soilworx champions the global theme of “Halt Soil Erosion, Save Our Future.” We strongly believe that there’s only one planet, earth, and we work hard to advocate for responsible soil practices through various educational programs and community collaboration, reducing waste, conserving natural resources, promoting eco-friendly practices, and providing customers with sustainable solutions.

As part of our commitment to sustainability, Soilworx offers the amelioration of clean fill from residential and commercial developments, parks and gardens. Clean fill is soil that does not contain chemicals, toxins, organic matter, or large debris. Soilworx improves the quality of this soil in our facilities. We rescreen and blend it so it can be reused and repurposed. In doing so, we are proud to divert over 200,000 m³ of soil a year from landfills across Victoria.
