Bluestone Paver Random Sizing

Victorian Bluestone pitchers were first produced and used in Melbourne back in the 1850’s. A common sight in the streets and laneways of Melbourne’s CBD.

Originally split by hand these full-size pitchers are never a standard size. We receive them at approximately 300mm x 200mm x 150mm square and we painstakingly slice them into 20-25mm thick pavers. Creating bluestone pavers that range in size from 100-400mm in length to 180-200mm in width.

Reducing the thickness of the pitcher blocks allows you to get a similar look at a portion of the cost and bring a little bit of history into your landscape.
